With these VPNs you also get many servers around the world, unmatched speeds, and competent 24/7 chat support. Today’s popular VPNs stand out for their easy-to-use tools and configurations. Finding a VPN with the right speed and security can be a bit tricky. However these require reliable software, good support and very clear instructions. However, there are alternative solutions that will allow you to combine AppleTV with the use of a VPN. The AppleTV micro console has no built-in VPN support so a direct connection cannot be established. Getting AppleTV to work with the VPN service is not exactly a quick or easy task. This will allow you to bypass their geographic blocks and use the service from virtually anywhere in the world. I’m not ready to upgrade just yet - and I am disappointed with Apple over this issue - especially for Apple being so sure I couldn’t download an older version of LPX.Using an AppleTV VPN will allow you to get the most out of your streaming services like connecting an AppleTV VPN. I think this is just Apple’s passive-aggressive way of corralling people into upgrading to the latest macOS. I had been using the search bar in the Apple App store to navigate to the LPX download area - and THIS is where you CANNOT download an older version. It turns out you must first navigate to your Purchases area in the App Store - from here you can download an older version of LPX (and FCPX). Despite having purchased an older version of LPX I was unable to download anything but the most recent version of LPX through the Apple App Store. Recently, I decided to create a clean install of Mojave. I bought Logic Pro X in 2019 and have been using LPX with Mojave. The Apple Senior Technical Advisor that I spoke with over the phone was absolutely wrong in telling me that I could not download an older version of Logic Pro X. Anywho - I’ll sleep on it.ĮDIT 3: Problem solved. Of course, I could also update to Big Sur ( it may not be possible to download Catalina anymore). The Apple senior advisor stressed many times that this was untested and to be sure to backup everything before attempting to airdrop LPX and FCPX. I was also told by Apple that it might be possible to airdrop the older versions of LPX and FCPX onto the machine with the fresh reinstall of Mojave. I have an identical 2015 MBP running Mojave with compatible versions of LPX and FCPX installed and also working. The reason why I did not restore from TM was because I wanted a fresh/clean install of Mojave. Lucky for me, I have a TimeMachine backup with all apps installed running on Mojave - so I have the option to restore everything. The only available version of LPX through the Apple App Store is version 10.6.2. I have been running LPX version 10.5.1 with Mojave. It turns out that you cannot download previous versions of Logic Pro X or Final Cut Pro X from the App store anymore. I find I am not able to download a previous version of LPX - not sure why.ĮDIT 2: I just got off the phone with Apple. Some have pointed out that it is possible to download previous versions of LPX depending upon the time of purchase and other factors. I've never upgraded my OS to anything beyond Mojave while using Logic Pro X. Is there any other way? ( such as downloading an older version of Logic)ĮDIT: I should have mentioned that at the time I bought Logic Pro X it was 2019 and I was running High Sierra or Mojave at that time. So, the LPX that I paid for cannot be downloaded and installed unless I have macOS 10.15.7 (I'm running 10.14.6). You must navigate to the Purchases area, find your purchased software and download from there. However, if you try to search for Logic Pro X in the Apple App Store and attempt to download from that area you WILL NOT be given the option to download an earlier version of LPX. You’ll be given the option to download an older version - provided you bought the app earlier in time. If you’re looking for an older version of Logic Pro X or Final Cut Pro you must navigate to the Purchases area within the Apple App Store, find the software you’ve purchased, and download from there.
